Vepunio Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the Vepunio: Pet Care & Health mobile app for iOS and Android (“Vepunio”, “the app”).

2. Who is responsible

3. The short version

You don’t create an account. There are no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking.
What you enter in Vepunio is stored on your device. We have no server that receives it, so we cannot see, read or sell it.
Your information leaves your device only when you choose to: when you share something, export a backup, or when your phone’s own backup (iCloud, Google) is turned on.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

4. Information you enter

Everything below is entered by you and stored on your device:

Pet profiles: name, species, breed or kind, sex, birth date (exact or estimated), neutering, microchip number, and whether the pet is active or remembered.
Important info: your vet’s name and phone number, allergies, conditions, food and a note for whoever looks after the pet.
Care and health records: vaccines, parasite treatments, medicines and other reminders with their history (dates, doses, notes), medicine stock counts, weight entries, vet visits (clinic, reason, notes, and an optional cost and currency) and observation notes.
Photos and documents: pet photos, album photos, vaccination booklet pages and documents such as an insurance policy or passport. Photos are compressed when added and their location data (GPS) is removed.
App settings: language, reminder time, appearance and similar preferences.

Some of this may be about people other than you, for example your vet’s name and number, or a name visible on a document photo. Please only add what you need.

Vepunio does not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, postal address, location, contacts or data from Apple Health or Health Connect. In “Weigh while holding”, your own weight is used only for the calculation on screen and is not saved.

5. Why the information is processed, and on what basis

The app uses what you enter only to provide its features on your device: showing your records, scheduling reminders, building summaries and reports, and creating your backups. This processing happens on your device at your request, to provide the app you chose to use (EU/UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We do not receive this information.

When you write to us, we use your email address and what you send us to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b), and our legitimate interest in supporting the app, Art. 6(1)(f)).

If you add the Vepunio widget (a Vepunio Plus feature), the app writes a short copy of today’s open reminders (reminder name, pet name, time, what’s next) to an area on your device that the widget can read. It does not leave your device. A lock-screen widget can be seen while your phone is locked; if your phone is set to hide widget details while locked, names are hidden and only counts show.

7. Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved.

8. Permissions

Camera: to take pet photos and photos of booklet pages and documents.
Photos: to pick photos from your library (through the system picker).
Notifications: to remind you about care and birthdays.
Android “Alarms & reminders”: only if you turn it on, so medicine reminders arrive at the exact minute.

All permissions are optional and can be changed in your device settings. The app keeps working without them. Vepunio does not ask for microphone, location or contacts access.

9. Backups

Backup file: In Settings you can create a backup file (.zip) and choose where to save it (for example Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email). Including photos is optional. The file is not encrypted: anyone who can open it can read your records, so keep it somewhere safe. Its storage is governed by the service you choose.
iPhone: if iCloud Backup is on, your Vepunio data and photos are included in your iCloud backup (Apple).
Android: Google’s cloud backup includes your records but not your photos; moving to a new phone with a cable or Google’s transfer tool includes both.

Vepunio never shares anything by itself. When you choose to share a health report (PDF), a spreadsheet export, a message for your pet sitter, a photo or a document page, it is sent through the app you pick on your device’s share sheet, and that app’s terms apply. When you email support from the app, your app version and operating system version are added to the message so we can help; you can remove them before sending.

11. Subscriptions (Vepunio Plus)

Purchases, trials, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details. To unlock Plus features, the app reads the status of your subscription (plan, end date, whether it renews) from the store on your device. On Android, the end date of a free trial started on that phone is kept on the device.

12. International transfers

We do not transfer the information you enter in the app anywhere, because we do not receive it. Support emails you send us are stored with our email provider, Gmail (Google LLC, USA), which relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. If you use iCloud, Google Drive or another service for backups or sharing, that provider may store data in other countries under its own terms.

13. Keeping and deleting your information

Your information stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete single records, photos or pets, or use Settings → Delete all data to remove all records, photos and settings from your device; this also clears scheduled notifications and the widget’s copy, and cannot be undone. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device. Backup files you saved elsewhere and your iCloud or Google backups are not affected; you can delete them there. Emails you send us are kept in Gmail (Google LLC, USA) for at most one year after your request is resolved.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because your Vepunio data is on your device, you can do most of this yourself in the app (edit, export a backup, delete). For anything else, write to support@daplify.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

15. Users in Türkiye (KVKK)

16. Children

Vepunio is a general-audience app for pet owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

17. Not veterinary advice

Vepunio is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a substitute for advice from a veterinarian.

18. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app. Questions: support@daplify.com.
